LG Commercial TV World

To create a Master TV Setup, you will need to know how to access the commercial controller (PTC) Installer Menu and make changes to the default values as required. From your installer remote press menu several times until it stops coming up on screen. Press 9876 and “OK”. If a password pulls up at this point enter 9876 again and you will be taken to picture to the left. Pages 30 to 40 in the TV manual will give detailed descriptions of the Installer Menu items.
From the FTG Mode menu you see to the right, scroll down to “General” option and press “7” 7 times. This will take you into EZ Manager where you can insert USB and download .tlx file to map channels and menu setup options.

LG Pass-Through Menu
From the menu in Pass-Through Mode (to the left), scroll down to “Safety” option and press “7” 7 times. This will take you into EZ Manager where you can insert USB and download .tlx file to map channels and menu setup options.
Once you are in the PTC Installer Menu, go to menu option 117 which is “Factory Default”. Once there press 413 and “OK”. A password will come up in the lower left cover that you need to enter 0413 into and TV will quickly flash message that will begin with word “INSTOP”. Once TV has been off for couple minutes turn TV back on and either go to express option for setup or if you have your USB choose the “EZ Manager” option.
Having this LG Factory Service remote was an absolute lifesaver. The “In Stop” function was able to completely eliminate a Lodgenet settings nightmare from TV’s that were unable to do things for years. LG Support Expert after Expert failed to lead me to anything and the super remote did so easily. Once I learned the password to the In Stop function (and my remote) it was like a miracle happened within this bonkers world of Commercial Displays. The In Stop function I used required password “0000” and just like that, the TV was back to everything it did on day one. This allowed for the process of setting up my HDMI 1 to default after powering down going forward.

On your LG remote press the [Menu] button several times until the “8 Block” menu freezes and no longer coming (on/off). Press 9,8,7,6, [Select]. The master installer menu has now appeared. Reference the manual for the option explanations so you understand all options. For my HDMI 1 Startup I need to do the following:
Scroll down to option 004 and change value to 000 for no startup channel. Next we go to option 046 and change value to 003 for HDMI 1 option. Press [Select] twice and you will be taken to the HDMI 1 source immediately after. Shut off TV turn right back on to test HDMI 1 startup.

Changing Satellite Setup – H25 DRE Receiver (IRD) – Hospitality/Commercial Use

1. Start by powering up the receiver or unplugging power from receiver to reset an already powered IRD.

After about 1 1/2 minutes of the startup process, step 2 will start with the downloading of satellite info like pictured above. Right when this screen shows press and hold the [Red Dot] button for 8 seconds until menu below appears.

Press the left arrow button on the DRE remote so that cursors moves from right options to the left navigation menu.

Once in the left navigation menu, cursor down with down arrow until highlighted over the “Satellite” option like shown above and select.

You will have two options appear on the right, select “Repeat Satellite Setup”.

Since we are not worried about a tuner conflict at this point select “Yes, Interrupt”.

To confirm your selection you need to press the DASH ( – ) button which is the button in the bottom left corner of the DRE remote.

Go ahead and select your dish type if it doesn’t automatically populate. Then you can cursor down to tuner one and select “Auto”. Most likely it is showing None by default. Once you have “Auto” selected, cursor over to the right navigation and select “Recheck SWM”.

By Rechecking SWM, the set up will automatically populate your switch type that at finds. In most cases in August 2022, it would be the use of a High Powered (HP) SWM that it finds.

Making sure that we are still selecting “Auto” on Tuner 1 after swim type populates, we can now go to the right menu and select “Continue”.

The set up will start to verify configuration. During this part of the setup, it is not uncommon for some satellites in the testing process to come back with a red X and give the impression that testing failed. As long as we can select “Continue” in the right menu we can continue setup. We will use the AIM meter to verify signal after set up.

The setup process will start to download Advanced Program Guide Data and will have the progress bar and percentage at the bottom like shown above.

Once completed to 100%, “Continue” will be available to select to the right like shown above.

After continuing set up will run data feeds and guide tests and then you will be prompted with the completion of the set up. Select “Continue”.

Since you probably already have a remote that is programmed to the TV or you have a list of codes to program the remote manually, select “Setup Remote Later”.

You are completely finished with the set up process, go ahead and select “Watch DIRECTV“
